Hot tapping is the process of connecting to a pressurized pipe or tank to extend service. We offer most any size and can tap into most any product. Hot taps can be for new service, inspection, instrumentation, blow off's, or bypass lines. We can tap most any material such as steel, plastic, ductile iron, and cast iron.
Most instruments need larger taps to allow penetration through the tapped hole. We recommend increasing the size of the tap to avoid this issue.
Rogers Tapping Service can provide the means to air or hydrastatic test the tapping sleeve and valve prior to taps. Click here if you would like to purchase a testing kit. Testing prior to our arrival helps us to provide fast accurate scheduling.
Most of our tapping machines require atleast a 125cfm air compressor.
Hot taps inside buildings often have special requirements to gain access for tapping. Our machines come in many different sizes, shapes, and weight for each size tap. To ensure fast service let us know any specifics for the job so we can be prepared.
